hi all, thanks for all the welcome messages, been checking out the site for a while & thought i'd best join some like minded people. well about me, i'm not a chippie but the old man is so i guess i just had a little bit of the urge to make some saw dust in me. I've got a reasonably well stocked armoury of dust making equipment including drills (pillar,cordless,sds,etc), power planer,hand planes,router,sanders,saws (circular,table,jigsaw,hand) & 2 bandsaws of which my most favourite & most used tool in my cramped little workshop is my axminster 350s, i originally purchased it for cutting components for my chicken arks that i have been making for a couple of years, then i found an article on bandsaw boxes and got into bandsaw box making, an addiction that has led to the wife calling herself a bandsaw widow. i recently purchased a 2" rotary/orbital air sander and new air compressor especially for finishing the boxes, (well chuffed with the results). i often get asked to do all types of projects by friends,family etc such as bannisters and handrails on stairs to small building alterations and porches etc, although not my full time job maybe sometime soon who knows,watch this space.
