Part 1: Getting started

My wife received a Hoosier Cabinet from her parents and is wanting it put in our house. But, before we do that we decided it needed some TLC. It had been “modified” previously for various reasons. Busted glue joints, damaged hinges, worn drawer slides, etc. Sorry I didn’t get any pics of such items or any “before” pictures for that matter. I had already started the refurb before I decided to do this blog. So, here is a short video to show were I’m at so far.

Part 2: Quick update

Just a quick update to let you know where I’m at. Rough sanding is done and so are most repairs and modifications. Some finer sanding and a back for the top then it’s painting time. I also wanted to share the modification I did to the “roll up door”. Here is a pic of the original track. This setup seemed kind of chincy.
