My shop is 12×16, build in 2009 by my father in law and myself. I call it the “Tackle Shop”. The shop is a work in progress always changing and improving. I have a nice L shaped work bench with plenty of floor space to work in. One very cool thing we did was to push the ceiling up to 14 feet in the center, the high ceiling let me build nice big loft style shelves on both ends of the shop. LOTS OF STORAGE. The shelves are one of my favorite features, easy to make and super useful.

First picture of the shop. It is a cell phone picture (not a very good one) showing I can fit my 14.5 foot kayak in to work on it. Better pictures coming soon.

Here are a few pictures from right after the shop was build. The L shaped work bench lefts me use my milter saw with full boards. I keep a drill press and scroll saw on the short part of the L leaving the full length open for the miter saw.

Pinebarron, how about posting some pictures of your shop when you get the chance? Tours of other shops are enjoyable posts to read and always well received.

Nice shop, and I like how you did the shelving.
