A little update before I try to catch up...

So I have fallen WAY behind on posting the projects as I complete them. So, before I try to catch up on all the blogs and projects I need to upload we’ll give an overview…

The first photo is what my garage usually looks like. (Like a sawdust bomb explosion mess)

And this is where we are today….ah…so much better.

Gene, I know I should not touch the pallets but I could not help myself…I just needed a tool rack…

This will be the shelf/drawers above the light box/drafting table to hold all the stained glass supplies.

And while visiting my parents I stole what would have been firewood. An old English Oak tree that I climbed in as a child.

I will have to make something nice with this. Any suggestions for quartersawn oak??

And the completed tool rack. This will do nicely until I make drawers for the work bench.

This makes me smile…now someday I can actually build something!

We’ll throw in some teaser photos of the ALMOST complete drafting table. Sheila, I will never try to scroll saw anything that thick ever again so long as I live…

Quite a transformation Phillip. Everything looks very well organized now. I love the light table. They are so handy for so many things. I know what you mean about cutting thick wood with the scroll saw. I just finished cutting out 10 plugs from 2” stock on mine. We will of course be expecting a lot more projects and blogs from you with this wonderful shop upgrade. I would also like to see some of the stained glass work produced there.

I echo Mike’s desire to view a project or two (wood or stain glass!) now that your workshop looks so spiffy clean and tidy Phillip!! It’s so much easier to concentrate in a tidy environment … love the artistic end of your light box too!

Looks like a nice space to work in. A lot cleaner than mine, that’s for sure.
