TS extension wing - 6 replies
Do people typically make a removable router fence if they’re going to incorporate the router on the TS extension wing or is it easier to just incorporate it in the TS fence? I guess what i’m saying is I want to add a TS wing and get a router lift but also need the fence to be removable due to the face that I sometimes use my TS rip ...

Spindle sander - 4 replies
I’ve got my eye on this one. 1/2 hp motor…I can assume that’s not for real heavy duty work? http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/tls/3962695663.html

taper jig - 11 replies
I just made a jig like this http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=2076&site=ROCKLER&TabSelect=Reviewsout of stuff I had laying around. Question is this…Does the length of the jig matter greatly depending on the work piece you have to cut on a taper? In other words if my jig is 24” long I’m really limited to cutting ...

New "toy" - 4 replies
Ya either hate Craigslist or you love it and today i’m loving it. Got this guy for $150 brand new in box. It’s a 1998 model. First use was some hickory to make my runners for the table saw cross cut sled. So psyched!!!

Older 4 1/2" Craftsman jointer - 3 replies
I recently acquired one and have a dumb question. I’m probably overlooking something but here goes. One half of the table is stationary (can’t be raised/lowered) while the other half can be raised or lowered depending on how much you need to take off each pass via a small T-handle. When I say “half” I mean it’s T...

securing my table saw - 9 replies
The best place for my table saw in my shop of course is the place where the floor is not level at all. Right now I have wood shims under it to make it level with my work table (my work table is basically built around the table saw) but eventually overtime the vibration from the saw would make the saw “walk” so myI thought would be t...

Sanding/hiding a dowel - 5 replies
Hey guys I had to use a 3/8” poplar dowel to plug a hole in a project I’m working on and after cutting it flush and sanding it really smooth it shows right through the paint. It feels rough when you run your finger across it. Did I not sand it smooth enough? Or was it maybe the fact that I didn’t use fine enough paper? I use...

Fastening the newel post - 4 replies
Our new railing will require the newel post to be mounted on top of the first stair tread (off to the side as a volute will be used) Hopefully you can picture this. This particular location is above the basement so I have full access to it below the floor. Would it make sense to recess the post into the tread cavity and lag bolt it from the b...

ZCI question - 5 replies
Just a pointless question here but when I ran my blade up to make the slot on my ZCI the kerf of the blade still rides against the sides of the opening. I figured it would wear in over time but still doing this and it’s really annoying to hear it riding on the sides. Any fix for this? I figured I could try to file the sides a little but...

FS: Incra T-Track Plus 18" - 2 replies
This is brand new never used. I was going to use it on my V120 mitre gauge but used something else instead. This needs to go to good use as I don’t want it sitting around. How about $15 shipped. I only accept PayPal. PM me if interested.

Blade alignment - 18 replies
Hopefully someone can help me out on this. I aligned my TS blade with the mitre slot with the blade ALMOST all the way up with my calipers and a Mag-Dro and the blade at a perfect 90 degree. I got it within .006” but for some reason it goes out of wack again when I lower the blade. Obviously I will need to raise and lower the blade a lo...

Belt size - 1 reply
Hey guys. Anyone happen to know the correct belt size for my craftsman 113.29920 TS? They’re 1/2” wide but unsure of the length. I have a feeling the current ones I have now are stretched so I can’t really compare. Downloaded the manual online but it does not tell the size of it.

Vintage Craftsman - 1 reply
Hey guys. New here and received some welcomes so thank you for the welcome! I have an older craftsman TS. It’s model number 113.29920 if this helps. Hopefully someone is familiar with this one so here’s my question. To align the blade to the mitre slot do I loosen the table bolts and shift into position or does the trunion get a...
