My wife home schools our children, and my boys were sharing (and quickly out-growing) a child-size picnic table on which they did their school work. Cherry with Maple legs and drawer pulls.

This is a day bed that I made for my daughter. My wife found a picture on a “posh” kids furniture web site and said “can you build this”?

It’s made from hard maple and maple ply with white oak as a secondary wood. Finished with white milk paint.

Many of you have seen this in other forums or what not, but I thought I’d share it here as well. My wife asked me to build a hall tree, with a bench, tall back and hooks. This is what I came up with
