« Part 2: Not enough clamps! Part 3 of The Harbor Freight Experiment Series series Part 4: Can you go wrong with HF freebies? »

It’s been a long silence in my HF experiment blog series. The silence isn’t from a lack of ideas, but because I’ve had an influx of better tools to play with. As evident from my last few reviews, I’ve splurged rather recently on better toys…i mean tools. Hard to feel motivated about cheap tools when you have shiny-er tools to play with. Oh, and somewhere along the way, it looks like gasp I’ve actually been doing some woodworking and making things. Now if only my work can sand itself.

As a slight revision to a Village Woodworker (or Carpenter, I forget) quote – I like tool, only tool – tools, tools, tools, and beer. Quality tools make all the difference, are a joy to use, and a privilege to own. God bless America, and tools.

-- Better woodworking through old hand tools.
