My dad was an excellent woodworker and I inherited his old table saw about 12 years ago but it just sat in the garage until about 4 years ago when I retired. My woodworking learning was interrupted 3 years ago when I fell 30 feet and broke a bunch of stuff leaving me with 2 titanium rods in my lower back. Thanks to a great surgeon, good genetics and a wonderful wife taking care of me I am still able to run, hike, swim, bike and do woodworking. I also had a brief interuption in Nov 2008 when I had open-heart surgery to replace a valve. I am now full speed ahead at my woodworking and look forward to learning and discussing projects with everyone at Lumberjocks.
