Given my big passion for DIY and design, renovating my garden when summer comes has always been a passion of mine even if sometimes I’m debating about which type of furniture should fit my outdoor living space. Last year I tried to combine the minimalistic design of wicker furniture with glass elements and it worked. This year, cane furniture will eventually win but I’m also debated on using wicker furniture once again.

Wicker Furniture

Creating wicker furniture is not that easy and finding the right mix to add is a key part of the actual process. Also, natural wicker requires maintenance to keep it in good shape, so it’s kinda stressful to keep it neat and clean like I want. On the other hand, wicker furniture looks good with everything and it’s easy to place in every outdoor space.

Cane Furniture

Cane furniture is hard to make as well, but easier than wicker, given the fact that (as said above) half of the actual “wickering” process revolves around being able to create a decent mix of elements before the actual preparation. Cane furniture is far more design-ready, especially when placed in small outdoor spaces (no wonder why it has been used in almost every single garden in LA)

To conclude, the doubt scares me a bit, even if I’m a big fan of both, it’s kinda hard to decide which one will fit my garden best!
