I am a 40 year old, medically retired firefighter. Blew out my shoulder in October of 2008 and after a long rehab....got retired in July of 2009. I have always "fooled around" with woodworking, but now have a lot of time to invest in my hobby. I recently was asked by my step-daughter to build her a cradle for her soon to be born daughter (I keep kidding her that the sonogram just isnt showing the stem on that apple) and suprised myself by agreeing. Well. we will see how this all goes and will be posting pics as they are available.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.
