well only 2 weeks till christmas and i have a plan i want to make my girlfriend a jewellery chest to hold all the expensive and lavish jewellery i have been buying her ;)i have the gifts i want to get her all decided but as an extra touch i want to make her something special as she is always so supportive and loves looking at the stuff i make. well this time i want to design and make something for her, i have a rough idea of what i want to acheive. a maple box with propably 4 drawers wraped b...

Part 2: Development + sketchup

Well plenty of time has passed since i started this project idea, and in that time i worked hard on visualising the design i had and putting pencil to paper and working out dimensions of all the parts construction and joints my head was busy with all the details of the project. the overall size shall be 310mm high 510mm wide and 300mm deep, with 3 drawers approx 60mm high the handels shall be a curve across the front in walnut which shalll be resesed into the drawer fronts, after the sketches...
