eddie was here
http://lumberjocks.com/toeachhisown

we worked
he’s the guy on the top edge of the roof to the left

and the guy in the window

we talked
(had to do it with each other as his phone didn’t work here)
neighbor Te came by and pitched in too
(i did go to town once alone
gave them some work to do
came back and they were sitting on the back porch
(taking a ‘union break’ they claimed)
we ate (buddy got what we missed)
we laughed allot
(we did fix all the worlds problems)
he got ready to leave this morning
wanted snow

it snowed
(eddie is the guy with the zz top beard in this pic)

he left 2 hours later
(i took a nap)

he should be home tues night
won’t write till he gets some stuff done there
(probably sleep some too)

will do shop along when i get ready to post it ready
for a roof raising party (i am standing on go with all the materials for that)

for all who wrote concerned
thank you
forgot to even turn on the puter some days
or look at the 130 mails there

i took him around to all the sights
he did comment about being able to look at new views
besides endless flat fields of crops to the horizon

i think he liked it here
but as i couldn’t understand a word he said
in some foreign accented language
(deep south cajun pidgin henglish)
i just listened and nodded and smiled
the way we do
with great company

Thank you eddie
bless you !

David you make me chuckle. That felt good.
Glad to hear you’re ok.

im happy for every visit you get , every helping hand that comes, and even if the shop were to never be finished, friendships have been made and the example of a carpenters son has been shown…be well david, be careful working by yourself, oh and make sure buddy gets a good heapin handful …:) and thank you eddie, what a grand thing to do.

Glad to learn that you 2 are both OK. We worry when you don’t check in! The shop looks like it is almost ready for roofing/sheet metal? We didn’t think eddie talked “funny” at all when he was here. Hope you guys had a great time together and glad to hear Buddy decided to grace you with his presence.

Gotta love a guest that is willing to work David. Very nice of Eddie to come help you out, and it looks like a lot was accomplished. Glad to hear the worlds problems are solved too. Does that mean I can leave the keys in the car and the front door unlocked? Glad to hear that you are well and ready to finish up that roof. It is a really impressive building. You might have to buy a scooter to get around in it.

Glad to hear you are doing well, I miss the shop posts, it’s like reading the “Old Man in Sea” over again.

David….....sounds like a good time. And Eddie got to see the snow! Of course, that barely counts as snow, but snow none the less!

The shop is really shaping up…....nice!

Nap time?

That’s a great story, David. You have some wonderful friends and you deserve them all. The shop is looking great.
