well yesterday we went to a funeral
for an old friend

jack never showed up !

seems they had him in the freezer
and told us to come back friday

i wrote my bud A1jim
about this
he sent me this back

”It’s pretty bad when a dead guy gives you the cold shoulder”

made me laugh

but that is not the point of this blog
when i got home there was a package on my porch
having exhausted all my own money
i didn’t expect anything to arrive
so was somewhat mystified
i opened the package to find this inside

it is a gift from my buddy joe lyddon
and his wife deanne
whom i had stayed with
on my ‘travels with buddy’ adventure

http://lumberjocks.com/patron/blog/18897

joe would make us breakfast
and i commented on his egg pan
saying i just had a small cast iron one for eggs
and it was hit and miss if the eggs stuck to the pan

joe taught me how he makes them
heating olive oil and basting
the spices and any additives first
then the eggs
it gives the eggs complete cooked in taste
not just sprinkled on

thank you Joe and Deanne !

have a merry Christmas all !

This site is the best… it has given birth to so many friendships.
You are most deserving, David.
Enjoy your eggs!

Kind of a flippant gift LOL So nice of Joe and his wife to think of you as a good egg.

Is it safe to say that all woodworkers have good appetites? I know I am hungry just pondering the questions. :) Good story.

I guess now you’ll have to build a coop and get some hens! Build a good fence to keep wylie coyote out!
Buddy would like eggs for breakfast too, keep his coat nice and shinny.

Eggs-actly as it should be. Nice breakfast, David.

Neat joke though, not turning up for your own funeral. I may try that one.

I have seen more than a few gift exchanges that resulted from friendships brought on by this site. It just goes to show you that looking at someones face is not the only path to friendship! AGAIN,...things like this are why this is my ALL TIME favorite site on the web!

Hi David!

Glad yu found it OK…

That breakfast sure looks GOOD! Better than mine! Eggs are cooked perfectly… and well seasoned!

Good job!

Making me hungry… I will be cooking mine in about 5 minutes!

My friend, enjoy…

Golly, if I knew you were going to publish our note, I would have put it on a Letterhead! :) :)

Take, care.

Thank you for everything you did for us during your stay here… it was nice!
