a number of years ago (maybe 15 – 16) i knew a navajo man that supported his familyby cutting firewood for some of the indian ceremonies he would get in his truck and go out into the washes and canyonsaround gallup new mexico and adjoining arizona and cut down dead cottonwood and oak treessome up to 1’+ diameter trunks into logs around 5’ longtake them home and standing on them over a few cross logs(for chain clearance) he ripped them with his chainsawinto (i kid you not) 2”x2” firewood stripsand would sell a whole pick-up load for around $100 robert did me a few favors over the yearsand when i saw this operationi determined to get him some helpas...
