I love interesting and innovative joints. You really made them nice and tight so the joints must strong. the whole look is very pleasing.

Weird!, nope, Unique, very Unique. I like, a lot. In my opinion, this makes a very strong & sturdy joint. “If” the cross legs should try to scissor, they’ll grip the stretcher all the tighter. No way should this joint ever fail. Great design.
