A single car garage over 100m’s from the house – up a private cablecar. Everything is put away every night so that the car can go away – no where near good enough but does the job at the moment.

Plans are now with the local Council to add an extention to the house – this will include a workshop for me – will continue to use the garage for the dustmakers (bandsaw, thicknesser etc). Give me three months and I might actually have a space of my own where I can leave stuff out during construction.

An update – had to revise plans for house due to costs (excavation) – so no workshop, just 2 news decks for outdoor living. Now working on alternate site for workshop (still on our land – just I need to do landscaping work and build it myself – which means it will be awhile).

Welcome to Lumber Jocks. You’ve got a great start here. You are making some noce things in your little shop.

Do you have any pictures of your shop that you would like to post?

G’Day Patoughton. Too bad about the car competing with the workshop. Great job on the shelf, I like the design.

Ha, found another Wellingtonian! Really like your design aesthetic, some really nice projects coming out of your workshop. Pity you didn’t get to extend your shop but I have a little shop too and quite enjoy (so far) trying to economize space.

Have your say...
