Bowling ball on lathe - 9 replies

Has anyone tried to turn a bowling ball on a lathe and how did it work out. would like to make a thin wall bowl for a trophy. can it be done.

lathe banjo tool holder - 0 replies

I would like to build a banjo tool holder for my rockwell lathe. I want to make it with the tightener on the front instead of using a wrench for the bolt in the middle. Anyone have any suggestions on making one.

lathe tool rest holder for old rockwell - 0 replies

Has anyone built a tool rest holder with a front tighting lever. I have never seen one on an old rockwell lathe. If you have built one or know how they tighten up let me know or if you have a picture of the underside of one I would like to see it. Thank you for reading.

what is wipe on poly - 3 replies

I think I seen some where all wipe on poly is is poly mixed with blo. Will it work with BLO mixed with brush on poly. A lot of my projects are from the lathe.

Kitchen Counter tops - 0 replies

I have decided to make my own counter tops from maple, the boards will range from 5 to 7 inches, and i was wondering the best way to glue them up. I’m not sure to what to use, either pocket screws or biscuits. Looking for suggestions please.

i just got a new fence from peachtree tools. i had a un i fence that was called a percission fence. peachtree has a new fence which is a lot better. it has slots to attach hold downs or feather boards on top and on the sides. it also has one of those new white plastic inserts that can be replaced with wood for a sarcifical fence when making...
