I was looking at the project that was entered in the contest and almost everyone was finish 6 months to 5 years ago. I thought the projects were to be made for the contest. Heck most of us could of entered a project that we once made.
Come on L Js break down and do a special project just for a contest.
What do you other L Js think.

Agreed. The rules don’t specify that it has to be built specifically for the contest or even in the same month but the spirit of the event would suggest built in the time span and for the contest.

I’m not sure that it matters so much when it was built. It seems to me that the idea is to give recognition to the craftsman for work that is within the spirit of the contest. If someone had made something he felt would fill the bill, then why make something new? My reasoning is that it’s not always easy to set aside time to participate in a contest that can’t begin before a given date, and besides, how would you be able to confirm that the item was built within a given period anyway?

I entered a toolbox that I had built for my grandson a year or so ago. I felt guilty so I was not going to post the bed I made him, it’s is simple and nothing fancy. But I posted it as a project and tossed it into the contest. Now I don’t feel so guilty. You know with the theme of this project. You would think Christmas would have taken care of the problem.
