sources and types of wood for turning
I have been experimenting some more with the scraps I have around the house but they all turn out rough in comparison to the once piece of hard wood (no clue what it is) I first used. Any one have any recomendations on wood types for turning a...

I just picked up a small lathe to play with and I am about half way through carving a loon.
