Ryobi miter saw problems - 5 replies
I have a 10 year old Ryobi miter saw that has a few problems. 1. Seems to lose power while cutting. Example would be cutting a 2×4. With about 1/2” left it slows down. 2. Lots of sparks coming from brushes. I replaced the brushes but that didn’t seem to help either problem 1 or 2.3. Saw has a delay when you let off the trigge...

Random Orbit Sander -not so random - 15 replies
i have a craftsman ROS that’s about 5 years old. I noticed it seems to do this strange thing as if it gets caught on the wood and jerks the sander. I suspect its not working correctly. My understanding is the ROS spins in an elliptical fashion. it seems if you move the disk around, powered off, it moves at two points so there is the ellipt...
