I am a 52 years old and have been working with wood since I was about 12 years old. My Dad got me started back when we moved my grandmothers house and added it on to our existing home. I have always worked with wood in one form or another. Either i was doing a project for the house or doing somethig for work. Being handy with tools and having a working knowledge of carpentry, that made me the project guy at work. I worked in the grocery retail end for 30 years and then went to work for the home improvement retail industry. Other than my three year stint in Iraq as a contractor, I have been in the home improvement industry for the last 12 years. I have quite an assortment of tools that get me by on any project that comes along. Although the big tools are yet to come. I am really gratefull to be able to join such a great bunch of individuals that love working with wood, either as a hobby or business. I look forward to visiting with everyone at some point. Welcome to lumberjocks, Ozzy, and thanks for the comment about the cradles. Although I’m a Mountaineer and Appalachian at heart, I did spend a couple of years in Victoria, TX back in the mid 80’s working for Union Carbide at Seadrift. Lovely state. Visited Corpus Christi a couple of times.
