Many lessons learned the hard way in building this. I broke several lag screws due to too small pilot holes. Also, not having a drill press (or good hand drill skills) is severely hurting my ability to accurately line up the nuts and bolts joinery. One of the top stretcher boards ended up almost 1/4” proud. Good thing I just tuned up my fore plane cause it got a workout (shavings on the floor.) All that’s left is dog holes, clean up the top and fasten it to the leg construction. I got a wooden face vise kit from woodcraft to finish it off. One more good afternoon and I’ll be in business. Bonus shot: Some 3/16” walnut burl I just came up on.
