As promised here they are: First is a picture of the rough sawn cherry wood that I cut select sections from.
Next, the WoodMaster turns the rough sawn wood to something of beauty:
I checked the downloaded plans as I contemplate the direction of the changes that I will make to it:
I cut the legs:
Days later I tried a few design options for the legs, but opted to keep it simple:
Last but not least, the table top boards are glued up:

I’m so excited – watching this come together is… inspiring!
I like the simple legs as well (although I don’t know what your finished project will look like).

Way to go Os. That table top looks really thick in that picture, or is that just an optical illusion?

Good progress..
Do you know how to embed the photos?
Click on the photo in your flickr page and drag to your address bar.
That’s the link…. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/170/441841909_f97f400d3e.jpg?v=0
Surround in exclamation points.
and voila..

Love seeing the woodmaster in action! That shot of the cherry on the plans really shows some of the figure, it’s beautiful! Good pick. It’s funny, the boards do look like they are 1”+ thick. I do like your progress photos.
I don’t know if I will have time to participate because of workload and deadlines. I have a bigger fish I am trying to fry right now.

Very Good OZ. Don’t let that guy Obi scare you he probably wants his legs rounded and doesn’t want anyone else to do that.

Todd,
How much time can it take? go into the shop and cut four legs when you’re on a break, takes 10 minutes
The total time involved in making a table isn’t more than 24 hours.
Cut the table top
Cut four stretchers
And you better hurry, you only have 60 days in which to complete this.

Thanks, John I tried doiing it several ways and couldn’t figure it out. That’s better, John.
Karson, Obi doesn’t have to worry. I abandoned the turned leg due to time constraints, so Obi can make his round.
Obi, you should have about 50 tables made by now, if it only takes you 24 hours. It’s gonna take me a lot longer than that, I’m afraid.

Beautiful work as usual Os. Let me get this straight, you’re turning these beautiful legs and then discarding them for another look? Os, where are you so I can hunt through your scrap bin please? LOL - Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliment, I just hope the end result will be worth posting.
Chip, don’t fret because they won’t go to waste. I’ll use them for another table when I have more time to perfect how to reproduce them.
Dennis, your creations make mine look like scraps, for sure. I know from your past work that this will be a peice of cake for you and that the design will be awesome.

Os: One thing about this Challenge. You don’t get the years subscription unless you post. So you may not be happy, You may wish you went a different way. But make sure that you Post a completed project.
