It was a great shock to hear of Os passing. He was the first person to welcome me here. Nel che amando mani di Dio, va nella pace. (Into the loving hands of God, go in peace.)

It is hard to express this loss of our LJ Brother oscorner. So very young.

If it were up to me Martin would put a permanent Green Halo/glow around your picture in the LumberJocks (online), because I know you are here with us.

    We miss you Mark!

I've been away from the site for a while and was very saddened to learn about the loss of brother Mark. Like many others here Mark was the first to welcome me aboard and always had words of encouragment and creativity to offer.

To Marks Family. I never had the honor to speak with Mark at LJ with not being very active here. Mark must have been a wonderful man from all of the post I have read here. Now that Mark and Jesus are woodworking together in the workshop in the sky may he rest in peace with the Lord. May GOD Bless and comfort you and your son through this hard time.

    Mrs oscorners,
One of the absolute first welcomes I recieved here at Lumberjocks was from your husband. Your husband was always one of the very first to comment on any project I posted, and always with kindness. Always followed with "Jesus is Lord"!
I'm one who enjoyed and needed all these niceities. I'll miss him immensely, but I know he's where he's much happier than ever before. My prayers are for and with you and your family now. I know that the Lord Thy God can and will comfort you in these most arduous times.
I think that the tributes above all have a way of testifying to what a humongus void your husbands passing has created on this forum. Only people of integrity with selfless goodness are capable of this, and your husband exemplified this countless times. Thank you for allowing us to share in your grief.
May God Bless you and your Family,
    ken mcGinnis

It was a thrill to see Jesus is Lord on your comment on my very first Lumberjocks post, my friend Christy's casket. Christy went home to be with Jesus Oct 28/07. I know you are there too brother Mark. Your comments and encouragement were much appreciated. I pray for your family at this sad time.

It seems that I'm one of the last to find out. <sigh>He was one of the first to correspond with me when I first arrived, and was a true inspiration to me. <chuckle> I remember when he and I (as fellow Deep-Southerner's) were less that sympathetic to a "Yankee's" lamentations about temperature and humidity changes.

You will be truly missed, my brother in Christ. Jesus is truly Lord, and I'll see you in the New Jerusalem!

We were quite shocked by Mark's unexpected death. We are indeed praying for you and your son, that you might be comforted by the Great Comforter. Mark was a special guy to us, and especially took time to pray and worry over my own daughter during her sickness this year. It takes a special kind of man to worry over a small sick girl that he never met.

We received a wonderful Christmas card from him, with a special note to my daughter, that he sent apparently either the day of, or close to the day he died. Thanks for your note about his death, I am honored that you took the time to send us a note to tell us, before we read it somewhere else. His presence on Lumberjocks will be missed, but I realize it that there a huge difference between what we are feeling to what you and your son are feeling right now. I trust that knowing how much friendship and love he gave a bunch of goofy woodworkers on the internet, and one special 6-year old girl in Kansas, will be a good memory for you to keep of him.

Until we meet in the air,
    Mark for the DeCou's
