I just came across this site and already feel welcomed thanks all.
I have just built my “dream shop” and am starting to shop for a few items.
My power from the city just got hooked up so I now have lights as of Dec. 1
Still working on sorting out tools after moving , 26 years at my 130 year old house .
I just finished a total ground up rehab at the old house and fell in love with lady from the other side of town.
Well we have a double lot now so I confiscated a chunk and put up a 600 sq. foot shop. with a out side second floor lumber loft. I love the new place and am looking forward to the next 25 years or more working in there.
It has radiant floor heat with a vermont casting wood stove also.

Needless to say this project drained me a bit , its all new from the curb cut to the roof vents. Me and a few friends in the trades put this up starting April 1 most of it was done by only 3 of us. I have to say I am quite proud of this shop and have had a lot of compliments on the look and feel for the property with all of our big oaks.

I just posted some photos on the shop page of a window with trim. The inside is insulated with osb walls.
Right now it is a mess with some old benches and my old construction door on two movable cabinets as a temporary bench for sorting and cleaning tools.
But I have my new electric in and heat for winter. Currently reclaiming some doug fir lumber to build some benches.

Hi and welcome to LJ. A very beautiful shop. I took a look at your shop under construction and it really is a dream. I’m looking forward to seeing the inside too eventually, and of course your projects and blogs too.
