I love woodworking and have since I was in high school way too many years ago. I am an engineer an have been working as one for over 40 years (now you can see why high school was along time ago).

I find it very difficult to throw away any scrap of wood! Small projects require small pieces and I have many of those.

February 2012, updated my photo including my better half going on 45 years!

I know! I only signed up last week!

Did you happen to see my sofa table project (on the seventh page)? I ask because you are located in Iowa.

I ask because the oak in that table is 100 year old native Iowa Red Oak. Grown, cut, and milled in Iowa and used in the farm house built in 1908; where my wife spent some of her childhood just south of Clarion Iowa in Wright county
