Occie, I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your shop when you get things together.

Can’t wait to see your shop. I envy your job to unpack everything. I hate moving. Keep us posted on your shop and projects.

Welcome to LJ. I hope you were kidding about the 14 daughters. I have one son and I feel overwhelmed. Best of luck with the wood work. I am just starting out myself. For a number of years I made simple projects but started to get frustrated that I wasnt really improving. I have now started classes. I go to the Brisbane School of Woodworking for a day every three weeks. I would go more often, but life gets in the way of a good time. And I avoid the conversation about how much it is costing me, I SWMBO found out. Deary, deary, deary me it is toooo much to think about. But I enjoy it, and occasionally something useful comes out of the shed. I keep telling her, you enjoy having a husband that can make, fix, repair, mend and alter just about anything. This didnt just happen, it is based on years of experience which I am still working on.
Cannot wait to see the sights of Costa Rica, the products of your workshop.
Let the wood chips fly.
Cheers
