Ramp walking duck and other critters

The original one came to life through experimentation and the only help I can give is through the photos below. The body can be done with a dado or by sandwiching three pieces together. Then cut out the animal or whatever figure you wish. The front leg is fixed and the back leg is movable and pined with a tiny nail after you find the center of balance. Do a test by inserting the front leg temporarily. What I do then is insert a sharp pencil where the hind leg will go to find the center of balance and then make a light pencil mark on the outside of the duck in line with the pencil.
