Sounds like a great deal to me. Goes for $600 on Amazon.

You can easily spend more than 200 dollars on tools and a chuck alone.

I have this model in my shop I bought it used about years ago no tools included for $300 and thought I got a pretty good deal. It is the smallest of the jet models (other than their minin pen turning models) and i good for turning small to moderate size bowls, vases, table legs and such. If your planning on turning larger heavier items you might want to look for a larger model with the cast iron legs. If it’s in good shape that’s a great deal for 2 bills.

Well I bought the Jet lathe for $200.00 it was a one owner, came with 8 turning tools in their own wooden box. A drill chuck, face plate, 4 jaw chuck with extra jaws, two live centers and even the owners manual.
Now all I have to do is learn to turn!

You got a good deal. If you have a Rockler or Woodcraft store close by they give turning lessons. Or google American Association of Woodturners and see if there is a woodturning club near you. Many woodturning clubs are great resources for new turners. Best of luck with your lathe!
