Today I finally got around to making a zero clearance insert for my Ridgid R4511 Table saw. I’ve had the saw since November, but have not had much time to use it yet. I build an auxilary fence for it a couple weeks ago, which has helped a bit. I ordered some phenolic sheets on Ebay and finally they arrived today so I could make the insert. Part 2: Miter Saw dust shroud

Today was more of an experiment than anything but I’m satisfied with how it turned out. I was tired of sawdust going everywhere in my garage when I used my miter saw, so decided to try build a shroud out of some scraps and some vinyl sheeting so the dust collector could be more effective. I have a shop vac under the miter saw that collects the dust from the saws port which doesn’t collect much at all. Eventually I’ll build a more permanent cabinet with a downdraft table unde...
