Had a pretty good day today. I finally decided to stop for the day, seeing that i’ve been up since 5:30 AM EST. I was able to obtain the angle aluminum that is required from a friend of mine. It’s good to have friends that are willing to donate to your cause. On the way back from my friends house I stopped by my local Woodcraft store to pick up the t-track for the mitre slot and was pleasantly surprised to find Scott Phillips from the American Woodshop there. He was there to judge some of the projects that local woodworkers have completed. That was the high-light of the day. After leaving there with two freshly purchased sections of t-track (one Kraig and the other Incra – couldn’t decide so I bought both) I got back to the shop and began the task of creating the rabbet (rebate) in the router table top that will receive the angle aluminum. Durring the process of machining the rabbet I discovered that the table top, which I thought was perfectly flat, turned out not to be as flat as I thought. I had to make the rabbet a little deeper than 1/8” but I think that will be okay. Now it’s time to rest and enjoy the evening.
