I am making a red oak box for friends birthday. We were in the Marines together and I thought it would be slick to put a Marine Corps sticker on the inside of the box under the lid. I t is one of those foil stickers. I want to do a daft spray lacquer finish to make it purdy. Do I go on top of the sticker or spray first then apply the sticker. i wanted to spray the sticker on so it is really permanent but am concerned about something bad happening like the sticker or lacquer turning because they are reacting to one another. I cut a waste piece of sticker and am trying it out on scrap wood to make sure it looks okay but the box is being delivered on Saturday which does not leave time ...
