after a week or so of blistering heat…....near 100 degs every day…...this morning broke clear and cool….......this was good…......the cement truck was due around 0730. My son, myself and some assistance and a lot of guidance from Patron worked (mostly my son) throughout the week to level out the ground and put up forms for a slab under my carport….....truck here on time…..1 1/2 hours later….....voila…....a nice floor!!!!

a portion of this will become my extended shop!!!! having outgrown my 12×16 shed about a week after moving in…..this has been in planning for a good while now.

here’s the slab:

and another:

the plan is to build a wall across the front of the third section…....then close in the sides and the 3 ft section of the roof to the shed….........which will add an area 18×18…or 324 sq ft additional to my existing shop….....awesome!!

this will be happening in conjunction with the finishing of my bathroom project (pix to be posted soon) be able to build kitchen cabinets and doors for the next big honey-do!!!

can’t wait to git ‘er going…......i’d start now but…..alas the cement is still wet!!!!

gotta go water the slab….....adios til the next time

Are you sure 18×18 is big enough? I have a 12×20 and it isn’t! Dollars to donuts that it becomes too small in about 2 weeks. ;-) Are you going to put a covered runway between the old and new?

bearpie…..the plan is to completely close in the area between old and new….....with a door on the right side next to the shed…....then the front wall of new area will have the door of the old shed….....complete closed in area will be 516 sq ft…...hopefully the new space will last more than a few weeks
db… to accommodate you but building still in use….
david…......Murphy didn’t even make an appearance… least this time
