A few days ago….....my good friend Patron celebrated his 1 year anniversary on LJs ( http://lumberjocks.com/patron/blog/series/2635 ).........he alluded to a Twinkie hunt in this blog…........ yesterday, he graced my humble abode with his presence…....along with a box of Twinkies…...in case we didn’t find any. After greeting my family….....the usual banter about woodworking, tools, gossip, and news took place.

Then we ate….....bbq ribs…...tater salad…...green beans and ….....mixed fruit crumble cake with whipped cream…....(supposed to be sliced cake similar to shortcake…...but alas it stuck to the pan and became crumbs). Afternoon repass being over…..it was time for the great Twinkie Hunt!!

Twinkies are very allusive…...and after looking in all the places you might find other Easter goodies….we gave up and went into the shop.

While Professor Patron was critiquing my newest project…......lo and behold we found the Twinkies…....

The hunt was not a bust….....we then decided to experiment….........if you just kiss one side of a Twinkie with the planer….....it will become reasonably flat….....so it won’t roll off the work bench

perfect….......but any more than a kiss…......

results in Disaster!!!!

BTW…the box of Twinkies David brought…were devoured by my two teenage garbage guts within the first hour!!!!

Hope Everyone had a Great Easter!!

Adios for now

If I receive another package from David now, I might be very worried!

life can be tough sometimes ,
as you get older ,
the lines blur ,
then you are a kid again ,
and it’s all ok !

I still think Twinkies are disgusting.
But it looks like you boys had fun.

Good for you,
Steve
