Does anyone know the best scroll saw blade to use one 5/4 pine?

Craig,

I’m sorry I can’t help you but I think Sheila Landry probably can. She is LJs’ resident scrollsaw expert! Maybe send her a private message.

I would use a number 7 most of the time. I would depend on the design that you are trying to cut.
Also 5/4 is really thick to cut with a scroll saw, what are you making?

MAking the deer for my buddies John Deere tractor display. Some tight curves not to bad. I’ve looked at skip tooth blades. Form what I’ve seen they are good for up to 1 1/2 inch softwood. All the stuff I cut is 5/4 pine usually.
