As I sit here in another hotel room. My Vega pro 40 fence for my table saw has been ordered. It should be here by Wednesday. With any luck I’ll have it installed by Saturday afternoon. I cannot wait to remove and discard the piece of junk that Craftsman calls a fence on my saw. This is the last upgrade that needs to be done. With the link belt, Freud combination blade, Woodriver wheel set and now the Vega fence. I’ll put this saw up against any comparable saw. And it’s probably at least 20 years old. My next tool to upgrade would be my bandsaw. It’s also a Craftsman about 20-30 years old. The 12 inch saw/sander. So far I only have a jet mobile base for it. Suggestions are welcomed.

Nice. I’m positive you will like the upgraded Vega. I have the Pro 50 myself and have to say that instalation was just about fool proof with zero complications. Hopefully the holes line up for your Cman saw but I imagine they should. The micro-adjust feature is something that I thought would be very useful but now that I’ve had it for a couple of months, I can say I pretty much never use it. The gliding action is very smooth and positive and just the lightest amount of pressure is needed to lock the fence in place. I barely had to adjust anything to have it perfectly lined up with my blade.

Enjoy the new fence and much improved saw.

What kind of saw do you have Sixstring?
