Location: newport pa

I am retired and my wife is newly retired, We have a small farm raising sheep, goats and mini-horses. We have been interested in doing some woodworking. The wife wants to try her hand at making and selling "gingerbread". So I guess we will be looking for a decent band-saw, jointer and router.

I was bugging all the experts on the site for info on many different pieces of equipment. So I thank you all and say I’m probably not done yet :).
Anyway, last month the little woman says, hon, why don’t you add-on to the garage for your work shop. I said HUH!
There is a NIB planer, bandsaw and dust collector sitting in the barn waiting for their new home to get started. Plus a jointer and lathe in the basement. Been on the lookout for a reasonable shaper or nice router setup.
The small (14×22) but efficient shop will be totally dedicated to woodworking. The metal working will be in the shop section of the garage.
Contractor says he’ll start about 15 July.
