Most of us work alone in our shops or garages so one of the side benefits of a workshop is the opportunity to meet new people who have shared passion or interests. Over the past few days I got to meet some great folks including my new friend Paul from Louisiana who traveled all the way to Santa Rosa, California for the class. I’m sure he will tell you it was time and money well spent.

Here’s Paul and The Master

You are so right, Tim. I learned so much and made some good friends. For me, it was a pilgrimage to meet and study with David Marks, and it was beyond awesome. I am very much looking forward to more classes with David in the future. And if I’m lucky, I’ll get the opportunity to study with you again. See you soon.

Hi Tim,

It was a great class. Surprising to find that both beginners and experienced woodworkers could find value in the same course.

David said the first day that all questions were encouraged, and I was skeptical. Almost all instructors say that, but very few actual encourage questions and keep the class flowing. David was amazing at taking all questions, and somehow getting through the class with 11 boards with very different finishes.

It was great meeting you, and I hope we meet up again. If you’re in the neighborhood, come sit on the deck.

Iain
