I am just learning the art of woodworking. I have always admired other peoples craftsmanship and a few months ago decided I wanted to learn the craft. I have a wife (Renee) and two sons (Ethan age 2), and (Gabrial age 1) and now my wife and I are expecting another child in July. I served for 6 years in the active duty Army were I was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan most of the time so coming back from my last deployment me and my wife started our family and just have not stopped since. I am currently a Drill Sergeant for the Army Reserves (yes there are DS's in the Reserves). My actual profession is as a Flooring Installer. I work for a commercial shop were we install every type of flooring ever invented. I am in the union so it pays well and provides nice benefits, and being a commercial installer I get to work at some really cool places and meet alot of people. I joined this site so that I could learn from all of you who are much better at woodworking as well as hopefully get some good ideas. My goal is to be able to someday replace all the furniture in my house (most of which is stuff made of particle board from walmart) with beautiful pieces that I can proudly showcase and enjoy. I have no desire to make a living from woodworking but it sure does come in handy for gifts. Anyway thats me in a nut shell thanks for reading.

You should know that posting questions or projects here (your profile page) will not get you very many responses’ just because it’s your profile page not part of a main forum. To post in a main forum read below.
Want to know how to post something?
See the drop-down box underneath my Lumberjocks in the upper right hand corner. Click on the arrow and select which type of posting you want to make (Project, Blog entry, Forum topic). This will take you to the appropriate page and you just fill in the form.
Sending Private messages(PMs) to other members
Click on the word” home” next to the profile picture of the member you want to contact ,then click on “send message”
