Among my hobbies, photography ranks high. Lately I’ve gone back to film, shooting B&W medium format. Then I got the bug for a large format camera with all the motions and selective focus. 5 years ago, one could find large format gear for next to nothing. But now… it’s becoming popular again. And the ebay prices are going up… I really didn’t want to spend $1000+, so I’ve decided to build my own. To start, I figured I would begin with a pin hole 4...

Part 2: A few progress pics. I'm liking the look!

I’ve got the main box complete (6.25” square) and the front cover on and finished. There are flaws – some tear out in the finger joints that I somehow managed to glue on the outside for all the world to see…. And a small crack on the front). But still I’m pretty happy. I’m not an experience wood worker really. I’ve made more shop jigs than anything really, so I’m feeling pretty good about this. Here’s a few pics. The box finished ...
