I just saw a very interesting item on EBAY… and hand powered scroll saw… I think I have to build my self a treadle powered saw now…

I keep thinking about building something like that myself. Too many projects and too little time at the moment though.

It seems funny to convert the leg reciprocation into rotary motion, and then back into reciprocation. If there was a better way I suppose they’d be made that way though. Not much energy loss to thin belts and small shaft.
