In another life I used to make outdoor gear. Mostly sewn things but like woodworking it crosses over into other worlds. Most of my things were made using some old industrial sewing machines that are seeing less use but still loved. The first of these projects is a new apron. I new the second I bought the cheep one at woodcraft for around 12.00 it would find it’s way into the rag bin but I figured I’d wear it for a wile while I decided what I liked and what I needed. Part 2: Screen curtins for the shop

When designing the shop or should I say remolding a very small garage I decided to make the doors open out. It saves on space yes! but I didn’t really think about screen doors in the spring/fall. Working thru my first summer the bugs weren’t to bad and once it got really hot I used AC. Moving into fall however I really wanted to open the doors but the mosquitoes in my area can really be bad a night. I thought about screen doors or making frames that would sit in the door jam but s...

Took a few more pics over the weekend of my apron for those who are interested in making one. ;-) I’ve already started a list of things to address with on version two. JFF detail of the top pocket. Although I really don’t work with a ton of power tools, the planer being the loudest of them, I’ve been trying to were ear protection. reinforced the where the cord comes through just in case detail of the pocket
