One of those months

Sorry if this is a rant, but i need someplace to talk about.

Have you ever had one of those days, or weeks? I am having on of those months where everything seems to be going from bad to worse.

To begin with, our government is trying to put some order in the financial department, which is fine but its taking its toll on small family owned business like ours.

They are registering all the companies that don’t paid formal taxes(we called it “social sector of the economy”) and that is good, but they are treating us like we are a huge company and the process to accomplish that its so bureaucratic and costly for us that we can not afford it. And here is the kicker: I can not sell my craft to any big company as they are required to get a fiscal number from me, obviously I cant provide it.

And now the workshop. Its started about a month ago, my drum sander failed and we put it apart to try to fixed it. We could not fix as the piece needed, a bearing, was nowhere to be found, then the thicknesses planner, a gear that moves the chain broke and as there are no parts for that we send it to the metal shop, they did replicate the piece but for some reason it did not work, it drives the chain but it does not pull the wood.

About a week ago the joiner, we sent it to the metal shop and they weld some parts but it broke again, after that the scroll saw, same story, no parts for it and has to be modified to get it to work, luckily I have another one, so that’s kinda sorted, but if that fail I can kiss my production good by as most of the work we do is with this tool.

I know things are rough everywhere, some others places have it worse, but still, its sad to try to make a living with the thing you love and not be able to do it.

if you are still here thanks for reading. in the meantime, as Dory just to sang: just keep swimming just keep swimming. we will see were the current take us

thanks

Nayo.

I know this may sound wrong but things will get better because everything goes in cycles!

Hang in there until it does.

I understand it completely Nayo. Bad things are like a “domino” effect, where when the 1st thing happens, there are many more to follow. Hang in there. I don’t want to get into the/our government situation, because, it is just plain messed up, and so are the people that are running it

As long as you and your family are healthy, you can overcome. When things go bad I just tell myself how many people have it a lot worse than this! Keep on keepin on.

at the end we are the ones to blame, as we are the ones that put them there :(

God bless you and your family in this time of trial, Nayo. He will show you the way. Rant anytime, it does help!
