I am a younger woodwork; I grew up in a woodshop with my father and my great uncle. My great uncle is now almost 92 so he can’t come out and teach me anymore, dad works all the time and can’t come and play in the shop anymore. I am currently in college and will be starting med school I hope next fall. I love to build anything and everything in my spare time. I just finished a coffee table and just glued the table top that I have been working on for over 5 months last night. I will upload pictures soon as I get them loaded on my computer.

Welcome to LumberJocks. Be warned – this place is addictive. Don’t let it addict you – that could really mess up your grades.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

You will learn alot but don’t think that will help you have more time to study. The more you look and learn the more ideas for projects you get. Pretty soon all your time is spent either in the shop or on LJ looking and posting. Truly though, this is an incredible site and the wealth of knowledge here is priceless. Welcome to LJs!
