Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Just stumbled upon your beautiful bench Nathan. Can you tell how you cut the mortise & tenon joinery on the spanner? Bandsaw, Japanese pull saw, router…..?

Thanks

Not sure which part is the spanner but the stretcher underneath is a sliding dovetail – tail is cut with japanese pullsaw and “pin” on the sides was cut on the edges with a saw and bored out with a brace.

Mortice and tenon on sides were with a tenon saw and bored out with a brace and chisels.

Have your say...
