Putting designs on boxes and coasters - 5 replies

I am going to make coasters and boxes. Besides burning how could I put designs on the boxes and coasters. Any ideas will be helpful.

Putting boxes together - 6 replies

When making a box like a jewelry box or another kind of box how do you put it together. In the past I have glued them and I can’t seem to get the corners to line up straight. Then I end up sanding the corners. Then it doesn’t look right because I had to sand to much. Is there a better way to do it or is glueing them the best way.

I am looking to make more smaller items. What are some items that sell good. Some of the things I was thinking of was clocks, toys, puzzles, and a couple of other things. What are something’s that you guys would suggest.

I am making a building block set for kids. With the blocks should I make the edges smooth or just leave them. Should I make them different colors or leave them natural. I am making a bed for someone and I calculated wrong on what I needed. So I have 3 2×4’s extra now. What would be a good thing to use them for to make something out of them.
