To cut or not cut , Good question - 9 replies

I like a lot of woodworkers really didn’t take high school shop or have never had formal training in woodworking or use of power tools. Most of what I have learned is out in the shop or on the net. Staining wood and blotch control Sorry I know it 's a long read. - 3 replies

Planner question - 10 replies

I have a dewalt 734 planner and sometimes the board stops moving thru it and I have to push it thru . I’m only taking a 1/32 off or less, most boards are 2” to 6” wide so I know I’m not exceeding any limits here anymore than a 1/32 and the board won’t go thru at all. The planner is pretty new and I’ve checked ...

good place to get small hnges - 7 replies

I would like to buy some quality hinges for a jewelry box I’m making. I’ve looked at Brusso hinges and some places like Rockler and Woodcraft but I don’t know about the quality. I saw a place that sold extruded brass hinges but I can’t remember where. Got any ideas. Thanks for your input.
