67 years old, Been working with wood since I was 16. At first I was a wood patternmaker and cabinetmaker for 25 years. After i lost my job I started a bussiness making pictures out of wood. I guess I am the guy who invented intarsia since i started doing it in 1980. Gail Roberts started her bussines a couple years later.I did very well with it and only recently completely stopped making them. 12 years ago I started doig abstract sculptuers out of discarded wood. I became known as an "Environmental debris artist" I loved doing it and did well enough to have an exhibition at the Canton Art Museum. Also many other shows and art galleries have sold and disp[layed my work in this form.. Recently in the last 4 years I have taken up turning, something a did a lot as a wood pattermaker. I have fused my abtract art to the bowls and platters to make something unique...Enjoy...Ray
