Sometimes you find all the right time. Time for the family, work, obligations, responsibilities, projects. Though, for me, hardly ever can I do all that should be done. Right now, I’m trying to squeeze in a few words while my lunch cooks, then back to my latest project. This one’s really….......well you’ll see, eventually.

I love cool quotes. A favorite, from John Lennon, is, “life is what happens to you, while you’re busy making other plans”.

I have, had, plans, that keep changing. Time slots vanish, people enter your life, things break. I know the smart ass Americans are already saying, “stuff happens”, kind of, as it were.

I know they are right. I think I handle interruption pretty well. I’m retired. There’s always later.

But then later gets filled with life and I’m still not back in the shop on that new, hot project.

Well, lately I’ve found the shop time again, yippeee.

However, I’ve had computer problems and still have to re-hook, up my printer, which reads my photo card. So I have not been able to show my latest projects. I know, Now you know why you’ve missed me. Go along, okay!? I know, I know, you’ve really missed my projects.

Well it should not be much longer. I’ve got the kids on it, they assured me they’d take care of it, “Dad”, as they run out the door. Sigh..

Well, that’s my lament for now. The good news is, I’m totally stoked on my current project. I mean, it’s, the best I’ve, well, I don’t want to get ahead of myself. I still have a ways to go, but, like i said, I’m totally stoked on this project and all that life stuff./ Well, it has to be life or death to disturb me now. It can wait…..............Later….................

Jack…I hear ya…the key seems to be making sure that the woodworking has a high rank on the importance scale (not just for you, but for everyone) so that your guilty pleasure can be more pleasure than guilt.

Now if only someone would pay me to play….not do work, not feverishly try to deliver something on time and under budget….just have fun. :-)

no, never enough time. gee, i thought my fault was due to failure to make plans, now you’re gonna tell me that doesn’t work either! -I guess that is how you manage “sometimes”. Really all i can manage is a big pile of “i’m getting to that ” and “i’m in the middle of that” and meanwhile, my kids’ teachers are calling needing to talk to me, and my daughter’s birthday present still isn’t finished 2 weeks after her birthday, and the sink is full of dishes, and there is a room full of (yes, feeling grateful to have the room and the laundry and that it is at least…) clean laundry…
i’m not a big fan of rest, but just some faint glimpse of life being manageable would be very relaxing.
