Retired truck driver. Love wood, nature, life. Been buying tools over the years , now get the chance to use them. Look forward to share what I've been doing. Work a lot with antler, scrimshaw involved. Just made my first canes. A bow rack, knife stands, and some first attempt knife handles. Well most everything is first attempt. I also draw and paint. Wildlife, birds of prey mostly, but love them all. Guess that's where my wood working started, making frames to cut costs. Avid hiker in my younger days. Now I go when I can. Collect books, knives and apparently my own art work, LOL, . Anyway that's me in a nut shell, where I probably belong, be seein' ya'll.

I made a few bread cooling racks and was asked how I did that. This is how. I start with two pieces of wood. One for the width and one for length. Then I cut the slots in each piece. Exactly one half the thickness of the wood. The spac...
